I purchased this mp3 boombox to place in our bathroom next to our shower. It's cheaper than buying a radio that hangs in the shower itself, and the option of playing your own music from flash drives/cards is hard to pass up. Size of the radio is very small, about the size of 2 or 3 Altoid mint cans stacked together. The player seems to be mostly aluminum, with a small base on the bottom made of clear acrylic. The build quality is excellent. The player looks a lot better than the photos online. The screen display is good enough, and I had little problems learning to navigate through it. The equalizer options are great, I set my player for SRS WOW and all my music sounds nice. The speakers are on opposite sides of the player, and with the volume set to maximum, it's loud enough to fill a room, or use out in the back yard. To make it louder, placing the player inside of a small box does the trick (you have to experiment with this, and can get unexpectedly great results! Unexpected pluses - you can insert/remove flash drives and memory cards while playing music, and it automatically plays, no need to press buttons (do this at your own risk - you could lose the music on the flash drive/card) and turning the player off and on with the switch on back, the music plays automatically. This is great when people are going to be using the player and aren't knowledgeable about modern music players. I filled a card with my mother's music, and told her to simply plug it in the back of the player, and turn it on. She sometimes plugs in the card then turns the player on, other times she turns the player on first, and then plugs in the card - and the music starts playing, either way! Very goof-proof. I gave this player 4 out of 5 stars - it's an almost perfect mini mp3 player. One star off because you have to experiment with how you put your songs on the memory sticks/cards. I loaded a 2GB flash drive with one music album to test out and it was excellent. I then loaded the card with about 11 albums, each in their own folder. When set to random, it will only play the songs in one folder. It won't go through all the music. Setting the player to 'normal' play mode and having it play the songs in order is the only way to have it play everything. These things can be fixed through a software update from the manufacturer's website in due time, but it's not a big deal. I'm about to order 2 more of these.

Although "boom"box might not be particularly accurate, given the lack of bass produced (for obvious size reasons), this unit provides very clear, sharp sound. The controls are very simple to use and the display is easy to read. The only thing stopping me from giving this 5 stars, is the fact that you cannot skip folders in mp3 format. I plugged a 4 Gb flash drive in with about 500 songs, with each album in its own folder. Unfortunately you have to skip through every song in each folder to progress to the next. Probably the best option is to buy many low-memory SD cards to avoid excessive button pushing. In my opinion, a very good buy for the money.

This is my First Inverter Purchase.
I was surprised at how small the Inverter was when I received it.
I uploaded a few pictures to show the size next to an iPhone and a US bank note.
My laptop power draw is only 65watts(HP Compaq nc6400) and the Inverter was able to power my laptop and an Iphone at the same time just fine.

For Airplanes:
First and foremost, before flying and purchasing one of these Inverters, make sure the plane you are going to fly on has DC or emPower. Some planes already come with AC power built in.

I purchased this Power supply thanks to the recommendation from the seat guru website.

I took a trip to Dominican Republic on a smaller American Airlines plane, which had DC power.
The Inverter worked liked a Charm. It kept my battery charged for the entire flight of 2 hours from Miami.

I will be taking a trip with American Airlines(777 with DC Power) later this year, and I will update the review once I have used it on a LONG(14hour) flight.

UPDATE JULY 2010:
I used it on two 14H AA 777 flights. ( NYC to Tokyo NRT and back).
It worked just as advertised.
The plane power port did flicker on and off through out the flight.
So every 15min my computer would indicate that I was running on battery.
But this was not an issue with the inverter, it was with the plane.
It kept my laptop and ipod charged for the duration of the flight.
The Inverter works like a champ and I still highly recommend this Inverter.

This is perfect for EmPower ports on airplanes. Works perfectly, and I let mine run for 8 hours on an trans-Atlantic flight. No overheating, no hassle. And it is very small and light. Just plugged it in and it worked. No need to over-complicate things - this thing is perfect. If you need power for an EmPower port on a plane, get this. You will not be disappointed.

Powers good and quite longer than expected but the annoying noise is inescapable. Wish there was a sound-absorbent accessory that came along, even if for a higher price. Am yet to try it for a long flight but I know it will be fine with necessary amenities on plane.

I purchased these for my 10 year old brother. I wasn't impressed when I opened them. They felt cheap and the ear buds were uncomfortable. He reported that the climbing spiderman quickly broke. If I had seen them in a store first, I wouldn't have purchased.

I ordered these around the 2nd or 3rd and didn't expect to get them until the 11th. I got them on the 6th. well before the time it said. The product is nice and great for a spiderman fan like me. There are no real complaints about this product.

I broke it a little but its okay; its still works well. Muchos complimentos on this cause its KINDA AWESOME. And yeahhh, i'd recommend it. BUY IT 0_O

Got this unit because this was the one of the few with an USB port. I figured with the convenience of USB flash memory it might just be the best way to store, transport and play music than any other digital media out there. The USB port works as specified provided it is formatted as FAT and not as NTFS. However the type of formatting is not specified in the manual.

Secondly, the AM/FM tuner does not resolve frequencies toward the start of the FM frequency band(~87-90MHz) in both Local/DX modes.

Pros:
USB port(for USB flash drives formatted as FAT).
Has dual channel line in/line out and S-audio ports though it is seldom used.
Easy install.

Cons:
Mediocre sound quality.
Dim display hardly visible in daylight.

This unit skipped while sitting still in my driveway. Returned it for a refund.

I've only had this player for a week now, so forgive me if I have yet to detect any problems.

First of all, unlike other folks out there, I've not experience any cd skipping while driving or parked. I've also been able to get my U3 memory stick to play music with it. Interestingly enough I plugged my Ipod nano into it(was curious) and was able to play BBC podcast 'Digital Planet' and some other tech shows on it. I was pleasantly surprised about that one. I did not check deep into navigating the Ipod via the radio to see how easy that was.

As for the other 'features' I haven't really messed with them much either, because I was just looking for a basic radio cd player but the usb feature caught my attention. Figured I could hold more music on a 2gig stick than carrying aroung multiple cds in the car or having to bother buying any cd changer.

So I'm happy with it and I hope this review was helpful to somebody......or yeah make sure your stick is in a FAT32 format. Both usb memory sticks I tried were configured that way.

Ok six months later review is as follows: USB no longer works and had to open the set to retrieve a cd. Apparently one of the spindles broke and it was not allowing me to eject, while at the same time forcing me to reset the radio to have it work. Highly annoyed at that (broken CD spindle)since I rearly used the cd. I definatelty wouldn't recommend this product again. Well, unless it was for your mother inlaw or something.LOL

Pros:
1. Most of the people and sites I consulted liked the Kensington microsaver.
2. Sturdy lock and case, aesthetically pleasing.
3. With the rebate, best deal with Amazon. Next best would be NewEgg.com

Cons:
1. I thought the retractable option would be nice, but 4 feet is too short; I barely have enough cable to anchor my laptop.
2. The retract button gets stuck sometimes.

Supplier delivered very well, though delayed by Amazon delivery system. Also, got complaint from customer that the product is "thinner" than expected, which I do not think takes away from the strength and usefulness of the product. Otherwise should be good.

Anybody with a cheap pair of cutting pliers will be able to cut through the cable in seconds. I know because I just did it. The cable is very thin and is made of pliable steel wire. You could even use household scissors to gnaw through.

Having this lock on is better than nothing because the thief needs to have some cutting tool and then has to deal with the remaining lock that is attached to your computer. However, if you are going to go through the trouble of locking up your computer, you might as well get something with a stronger cable.

At first, I was completely in love with the sweeping silence. Then, after about six months of ownership, I started to notice an audible tick. It didn't sound like the normal tick of a clock, but rather just gear noise. Either way, my silent clock now was producing noise. It's still quieter than normal clocks, but I have to down rank it for losing its silence.

I have two Seiko quiet sweep second hand clocks, with different dial designs from this one, but the same drive mechanism. One of them was quiet at first - it was wonderful - but after a few months it started making a whirring mechanical noise, just like another reviewer mentioned. The other clock made a similar noise from the very beginning. I am going to see if I can open up the little plastic boxes covering the motors so I can lubricate them, but I don't think they are designed for that.

No more IKEA wall clocks for me. They're just too noisy and don't look that great.
I've had this wall clock for about 15 months and the battery died on ~10th month or so.
No problem, just buy a new battery and it's back to life again.

Here's my 2 cents for those who needs new battery for any wall clock. DO NOT USE ALKALINES or any special
batteries. Just use regular "zinc" or "heavy duty" batteries and your clock(s) will thank you.
Those batteries has too much power and the clock's movement simply wasn't designed for that.

I repeat "" DO NOT USE ALKALINES "".

I got a pack of 24 or 36 Zinc AAs from Amazon for just a few bucks. Keep your eyes out for 'em.

This clock is quiet as expected. If I put my ears really close to the clock, I can hear it whirring.
But in a quiet room, there is no noticeable noise. For those who cannot tolerate any noise, get a
digital one. -- The design is simple & minimal, which I love. Coming from el-cheapo IKEA ones, this model's
material & craftsmanship is excellent for the price. It's easy to read if there is adequate light source in
the room. But once it's getting very dark, it's hard to read because of the dark background.

While I think it's quite expensive for a simple wall clock, I highly recommend it for design, & reliability.

I was afraid these curtains & matching bedskirt would be too frilly, but they were the perfect accent for our bold, bright iCarly-esque room. The girls love them, & after ironing, they looked great! They were just the finishing touch we needed & look awesome with the gazillion prisms we have hanging in the windows reflecting light through them! Definitely would recommend!
PS I was looking at the much spendier versions available through Garnet Hill & Land of Nod-although those are better quality, I am not disapponted that I chose these instead. This curtain IS adorable, however the materials and workmanship weren't high enough to justify the price for me so I returned them. When I looked at the materials and realized that given the cheapness of the lining and price of a light tulle at a fabric store I could make it myself for under t e n $ I decided to return it. I went with the pink panels from the Simply Shabby Chic line also available here on amazon.com for the same prices as this tulle panel but it's of MUCH higher quality fabrics and has much better workmanship
